Last nite I played for a bit on the Monster tables. I played 1037 hands. Normally, my rake counter would show that I paid about $103 in rake. Last nite I payed $165 in rake. I don't think it can be overcome folks unless you run hot.

No, I haven't looked into those at all. I've been losing my coinflips on the bubble at Stars.

I just looked at my data, this is what I see : At 200NL the normal rake is around $15/100 , Monster makes it about $20/100

That's beatable, that's 1.25 PTBB/100 , so if you're a 6 PTBB winner, it just takes that down, and extra fishyness could make that up. Obviously the situation is much worse at 100NL.

I need to hurry up and get to 400NL.

Rake counter? Is that different than what PT displays?

Generated rake and the actual rake you pay are different, I believe. PT keeps track of the rake that you "pay" in pots you win, which is the important figure when calculating the differences in Monster rake.

For those of you that like playing deep-stacked: Some kind of bug in Party .5/1 PL lets you buy in for $1000, but only at monster tables.

Wow, that's awesome, I'll have to try some pot limit. I hope they don't fix that. Seems to only be at the $1 PL, not the higher or lower PL tables.

Unfortunately the Monster rake at the $1 level is just devastating.
