I have no [censored] clue why Manuel is still insisting on not letting Gordon close and sticking Myers back in there when he returns, considering our rotation consists of Hamels and four scrubs at this point. Rowand really needs to be traded for some pitching help especially now that Burrell is hitting again, though as I understand it, there's not a lot possibilities out there. We've been mashing the ball recently, but I don't see us making the playoffs with our current staff.

Having said all that, sick game. Love that we have arguably the top two current MVP candidtates on our team.

I forgot to bring up something I've been wondering about for a while. Why has Burrell been so resistant to waiving his no-trade clause? He's easily the fans' most hated player on the team, and he's been benched for extended periods of time the past couple of years. I like him and sympathize with him because I feel he is underrated and unfairly scapegoated, but I'm really suprised he actually wants to stay here.

I would guess that he just doesn't want to move. Especially if he has a family (no idea whether he does or not).

Yeah, Wheeler no problem. The guy just hit Utley and Howard on back to back pitches. I don't think he should be thrown out of the game. What a jackass.

Thanks to my friend and his ho for dragging me out of the stadium after the 13th inning yesterday. Never go to a game with a female.
