Why not go for it here? If you get a first down the game is completely over. If you dont, its only 30 yards.

I'm just talking about the last set of downs. Run on 3rd and 5. Hence the word series and not drive.

NFL coaches are stuck in the stoneage. They don't use probability to make decisions and almost always err on the side of caution.

That is just a call that Cowher doesn't make. He is aggressive in some spots other coaches aren't but 4th and long with the lead he will never do.
