Doesn't bankruptcy only screw you for 7 years? Not to mention that I think going to serious prison is probably going to be far worse than having no credit.

Hey fuckface, let me spell it out for you.

You say that ruining somebody's credit is the worst thing in today's modern world. You then say that after 12 years in prison, life goes on. My response was supposed to be pointing out those 12 years in prison are likely to be worse than the 7 years of bankruptcy that your "worst thing in the world" would lead to. Got it?

Dude, go back and read the post from Surf that you quoted originally.

Then look at the post that he was quoting when he made the "12 years" comment.

It doesn't have anything to do with someone's credit. Trust me.

Are you planning on employing this strategy? Or is this another reason why great minds shouldn't be idle?

I believe he was pointing out that surf said that destroying someone's credit, etc. is the worst possible thing that could happen in today's world.

Gump was then responding to surf's response to me that prison isn't that bad. Gump conjectured that it would take 7 years to get a bankruptcy straightened out, while prison would be a hell-filled 12 years.

Personally, I'd rather be broke than ass-raped.

This is correct. The "life goes on" comment, taken in context, is pretty clearly trying to dismiss this particular scheme as less bad than ruining somebody's credit. My point was that 12 years in prison is going to be a lot worse for many people than 7 years of no credit. If my number 7 is wrong, oh well. You can make it pretty big and my point still stands.

EDIT: Given that guaranteed bankruptcy was sort of the least that we were looking for here, and that ID theft can at least occasionally be sorted out, people going for that angle aren't being imaginative enough.
