I think it'd be absolutely criminal if Roy Williams finds a way for UNC NOT to win the title this year and I say this as a total and absolute hater of the Tar Heels.

Georgetown's win against them last year was nothing short of a hardwood miracle.

[/ QUOTE ]

Seriously? I tend to look at this season and think that the talent levels between Memphis, Georgetown, UNC, UCLA, and Kansas are all relatively even. I like UNC's chances to be a national title contender, but I wouldn't be surprised to see any of those other 4 teams I listed ranked over us in some preseason polls.

After seeing him in the McDonalds All American game, I am confident that OJ Mayo will become the player that I dislike the most. I despise him already, and when he takes like 40 shots in his first game, I will dislike him even more.

I'll write up a more in depth analysis later, but I wouldn't be surprised to see GT go anywhere from 15-15 to 25-5 at this point.

Duke is in serious trouble this year; I would be surprised if we make it to .500 in the ACC.

Starters:

Greg Paulus (turnover)
Jon Scheyer (hot 'n' cold)
DeMarcus Nelson (will the light go on?)
Gerald Henderson (will he play better as the villain?)
Lance Thomas / Zoubek / Freshman Big Man ? (ugh)

Does not look promising.

I hate Duke, being a UNC fan, but you are under selling your boys big time.

First of all, you left off Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith. Singler was a top 5 recruit and has drawn comparisons to Dirk. He can step out and hit the shot as well as play some inside, so he'll help you out a lot. Also, Nolan Smith is a big time combo, who can step in and play lock down defense.

Second of all, the ACC is down this year. I don't think Duke is great by any means, but I think you have an outstanding shot of winning 10 or 11 games in conference. You lack depth of anything resembling quality play in the post is concerning, but the ACC in general is pretty bare of good big men. UNC & NC State have great frontlines, but besides that, you shouldn't worry about much else.

I see Duke as a top 15 team most likely who probably will be a Sweet 16 type team because at somepoint in the tournament they'll run into a team with some good bigs.

You dont hate Duke enough if you are typing this. And obv this guy is compared to Dirk because he is tall, shoots, and is white. The whiter Duke gets, the worse duke gets. I hate Duke, they will suck this year.
