I'm thinking you have an opportunity to go for the gold here. Offer to take the cat to the vet. Then explain that he needs to stay indoors with you for a week or so. Cat visit FTW.

Of course the ladies will want the cat back, so mention your burning desire for a homemade italian meal with delicious pie dessert. Arrangements will be made to exchange hostage cat for complete home cooked meal.

Not bad, but I'm not sure if one great meal is worth giving up one of these:

Yes, that's right folks, today we progressed to chocolate! They're a few days late but they made up for it today with this chocolate cake. Gave it to me while it was still hot, fresh from their oven. I'm eating a piece now. I also met the kitten today. Cute, but I think he may have some health issues. Taking him to the vet tomorrow to check him out. If he's ok I'll keep him inside while continuing to score cake. I think I may be coming out on top on this one.
