It's not a cop out. Its solid advice. FYI my stats are 25/22/3 so I am not nitty. Raising this hand UTG is -EV. Why discuss this hand further when its a leak. Try raising suited connectors UTG rather than Ace rag (oh but its sooted....bah!)

sweet jesus christ, primate - just pretend he opened from the CO instead of UTG then. this thread is about flop/turn play, preflop has minor relevance.

bugger off. I don't think its comparible with a CO raise either, its still EP. preflop your equity with A3s against 4 random hands is 24.8%. Add in your position and this is clearly a -EV play with huge variance.
aislephive show me your Ace rag stats EP. If they're green I'll get my coat. If we must play this on the flop then raise and commit to the hand. Your only a serious dog to a set. Your raising UTG with this hand for exactly this scenario right? That turn card is a bonus and sickener for the villain. It was one of your outs that you should have raised with on the flop. You raised UTG so represent an UTG holding. |

It depends on the players left to act.

if bb is really that tight, the only hand he could possibly have is a set (notice how you have the ace of hearts). call with implied odds to a flush if you want, but you'd probably be trapping yourself later.

how did this hand get so complicated? generally i dont like to raise with asxs rags in early position, maybe on the co or button cause it gives you more chances to steal.. but yea.. read my earlier post for my conclusion.
