Heh, if you get enough people falling for this, you can transmit their holecards to each other, and turn it off when you sit at the tables too, so you see theirs and they don't see yours. Comedy.

Last week I played in a home game tourney where I made a comment that I mainly play online. One of the guys piped up and said "anybody who plays online needs their head examined".

He didn't have much to say after I told him how much money I was making.

oh yeah, then I proceded to take first place

o you think if Party/Stars(please) came out with a campaign, showing more in detail how legitimate their shuffling/dealing was that more donkeys would play online? I'm beginning to think so.

I think if they allowed themselves to be independently audited it would go a long way toward easing concern. I'm not sure how many additional players it would bring however. Ironically, most players I know who are most adament about not playing online are pros who have been beating live games for years and couldn't win when they tried online.

[ QUOTE ]
I think there are a huge number of potential players that don't sign up online because they think it's "illegal".

Whenever anyone finds out I play online, I know there is about an 80% chance that they'll ask "isn't that illegal".

I told my mother I was quiting my job to play poker 8 months ago. She is still freaking out. At one point she got advice from my unlce on what to do. My uncle was very concerned telling my mom I was dealing with very shady people and was liable to end up being murdered. My mom would call me crying all the time to try and get me to stop playing. It was very funny but kind of sad at the same time.

I am a winning player and I would never take the stance that poker is not rigged. There is way too much money involved.
