I joined Full Tilt and like an idiot i knew nothing about Rakeback.

So i'm playing $50 HU sit n gos and don't have rakeback.
(i never play cash games)

Would stars be more beneficial for me?

can someone please explain how stars has "rakeback" but it's not rakeback? lol

Is there a thread or sticky or faq that can explain this to me .

When you play on Stars, you get a number of player "points."

These have value; after you accumulate a chunk, you can redeem them for stuff.

but how valuable are these "points" compared to the points you get on full tilt?

is it the same thing?

They are much more valuable. I often see figures of around 0.16c per point quoted around here.

No, definitely not.

Essentially, to put it in perspective and summarise the discussion:

if you do have rakeback at full tilt, it is a close decision between playing at PS and FTP. It depends on your level of play, your playing volume, you're long-term expectations (PS "rb" increases as you play more; they also have lower rake to begin with) and other stuff.


if you do not have rb at full tilt, the comparison is not even close, and you are almost certainly massively better off playing at pokerstars.

Right, for the MANY non-Americans here, there are lots of superior choices.

Pickings may be slimmer for Americans, but there's still Absolute, UB, Cake, Bodog, Microgaming (in 39 states), True Poker, Poker4Ever, Merge, DGN...

Yeah lol, there's also Absolute, Ultimate Bet, Bodog, WPX, Cake poker, Carbon Poker, True Poker, etc... Need I go on?
