TD: Yes! Ian Curtis. He certainly set the bleak tone for Joy Division. I often wonder how long they would have stayed together if he hadn't killed himself.
Mine is Johnny Thunders, guitarist for NY Dolls and The Heartbreakers. He set the prototype for punk guitarists in the early 70's. The cause of his death is subject of debate but there's no doubt drugs played a part in it. What a waste.
