i am not pretending to believe that he deserves to stay banned, i believe honestly that he deserves to stay banned.

if you mean the definition of hypocritical where i personally have broken the rules that i claim he should obey, er, i don't get it.

I'm open to it and I was the guy who banned him for the Tuff Fish post (BOOO HISSSSSS). The door was open for him to come back 9 months ago but for some solid reasons Mat extended it to uper-super-forever ban.

The beef was primarily between Mat and Dan originally based on Dan's previous behaviour. If Mat feels less strongly now that is a pretty good reason to bring him back.
