I thought that the failure rate associated with condoms was a product of breakages/improper usage and stuff like that. If you finish, pull out, and the condom worked fine, then there's pretty much zippy chance that she's pregnant. It's not like your spoo is going to seep through the latex. The advantage of using a condom is that when a condom fails, you know it's failed. Unlike hormonal BC which can fail, and you might not know about it for another 5 weeks.
Your girlfriend is not pregnant. |

Also, a related question: when talking about condoms you often hear about failure rates; i've heard anywhere between 70% and 99%. Is a condom said to have "failed" only when the girl gets pregnant? Or are "failure rate" and "pregnancy rate" two different things? It seems to me that the latter should be true, and that even if a condom does fail, that doesn't automatically mean a pregnancy has occured. But I'm looking for confirmation.

[/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Good news — your second interpretation of contraceptive effectiveness rates is more like it. During a year of typical condom use, 14 out of 100 women will become pregnant. During a year of perfect condom use, that number drops to 3 out of 100 women becoming pregnant. [/ QUOTE ] http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/2219.html |

In addition to this she just "has a feeling" that she is pregnant. She isn't supposed to start her period until the beginning of the month, so it's still too early for a pregnancy test. [/ QUOTE ] lol @ young girls. Has she been pregnant before? Probably not. She's got nothing to base her "feeling" on. That and it's not even time for her period yet. Wait until she's about a week late, then spend the $ on ONE home test. Don't waste your money by buying one so early. Girlfriends cost enough as it is. |

It's all a psychological thing. Her stressed out mind and thoughts is what's really making herself sick, not being pregnant.
There's a 99.9% chance that she's not pregnant. |

That's what I was thinking and that's what I told her...she may have been feeling sick for a day or two, but I think that at this point, she expects herself to be sick and is just imagining some of the pain, and what is real, she is bringing on herself.

One of them thought she got pregnant and all I did was finger her. [/ QUOTE ] Was your hand covered in semen at the time? Or did she think that you ejaculated out of your finger? |
