Wow a lot of misconceptions here. Personally I love acid. It's my favorite drug by far.
1) Acid is not 'easy' to make. Only a few people even know the recipe and it takes a lot more than proficiency in chem to know how to make it. 2) Acid potency has gone down drastically since the 60's. The acid you got back then was about 5 times as strong on average. 3) Price varies as with any drug. Closer to a city means prices are closer to $5. In a college town or burbs it's going to be at least $10 and could go as high as $20-30. 4) Mass producing LSD is BY FAR more profitable than any other drug. A VERY small amount is needed for one hit. People who actually make the acid sell it for about a buck a hit and sell it by the thousands. One batch can easily create 10,000 hits. 5) All acid up until the 90's came from Northern CA from about a dozen different chemists. 6) Acid is still made today (the weak stuff), but many dealers are selling it as other drugs for higher profit such as putting it on pills or exotic legal mushrooms. You can still find it, but most easily on the Jam Band/Hippie Festival circuit. I've read a TON on acid and other halucinogens so if you have any questions I would be more than happy to try to give you an answer you through PM. |

[ QUOTE ]
The recent difficulties in obtaining LSD related mainly to the arrests and convictions of Clyde Apperson and William Leonard Pickard. [/ QUOTE ] "The DEA believes that Apperson and Pickard were responsible for manufacturing a majority of the LSD sold in the United States and cites an estimated 95 percent reduction in the drug's availability as evidence of this."
