Marvelous and well done Trip Report. I'm hooked. You have received a lot of praise but it is all well deserved. First-rate, as was your poker advice in the "old days" of 2+2. Looking forward to more. Kudos Clark.

I almost killed a guy in Oregon by false starting at a gas station (pulled up, realized I had no cash back when you needed that to buy gas) in Oregon. Drove off while my gas cap was in his hand. Stupid state.

These trip reports have been fantastic.

Thanks.

Of the two times I filled up in Oregon, I left my engine on both times. The first guy noticed and said something, the second guy didn't. I never even thought about it until after Clarkmistress noticed. Turning the engine off is a reflex that happens as I leave the car.

Clark,

Should have told you about the gas thing. They say it's in place for safety (worried about this?) but of course it's to give a bunch of people jobs.

I've told many of my stupid friends that they're lucky that we border two mandatory full serve gas states (or at least Idaho used to be IIRC).

You all are sorely mistaken. Once the weather gets below 50, its nice to stay in your toasty car while some moron pumps my gas. "Fill 'er up bitch!"

Whenever i fill up in Oregon i get the [censored] that doesn't care and takes 3x as long to get to my car, fill it, and get around to taking the nozzle out than if i did it myself.
