self-imposed 3-hand break between mp1 and bb every three orbits? I don't know if this would help but you could use this window to try to objectively evaluate whether or not you're tilting

Firstly, Tommy's reciprocity article is like 100x better than what I've written, but brag link follows.

(dated before tommy article... but really this stuff comes from theory of poker so I can't really take credit for it -- Tommy is the guy that fleshed this out into every aspect of poker... still... brag

At the moment, I am experiencing the 'lose half a buy in and quit tilt'. 8 of my last 10 sessions have been half a buy in losses. the 2 wins are about 4 bb each.

I'm telling you once you start to tilt, take 4 bucks to the .01/.02 games at Ultimate bet and have some fun.

Sometimes if i'm steaming I'll go to these tables and just hit the raise button over and over.

This accomplishes several things
a) lets out some poker aggression
b) pisses off the people who play these limits "seriously"
c) allows you to deliver some bad beats to others at a very low cost

I'm not sure if i'm a dick for going into these penny pinchers games and letting out some aggression but it sure is fun.

When I'm tilting I let out my aggression on the 2c/4c O8 at Stars. I highly recommend this incredibly therapeudic course of treatment. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, it's almost enjoyable to lose to runner runner quads in a pot that you really just don't care about (plus you might still have a shot at the lo!). Even if you lose, this plan is irrefutably +EV.

My name is dboy, and I am a tilter. The only way I can avoid tilt is to play 12 tables and outfold everyone.
