I smoked pretty much every day for 13 years and I just quit 4/23/07. 4/20 was supposed to be my last day, but, obviously that didn't happen.
My business is not making enough money and I've come to the sad realization that I must obtain a "real" job again. I normally would just buy some Ready Clean or some other product that cleans your system for a piss test, but, the last time I did that (years ago) I failed my damn piss test. This is far too desperate of a situation to chance it. Anyway, it's been over a week now and it hasn't been a problem at all. Although, I must say my alcohol intake has increased by about 35%. |

I quit several years ago. I had a realization that I wasn't really enjoying it much anymore and I liked having a clear mind. I have no intention of quitting beer, though. Even if a doctor told me I would be dead in six months if I kept drinking beer, and might live another 10 years without it, I'd have to think about it.
I had very little in the way of withdrawal symptoms. I was always kind of off-again on-again with weed. I'd smoke pretty heavily when I had it, but didn't really try to conserve it, and never minded being without it for a week or two. I would sometimes have trouble sleeping the first two or three nights when I went off of weed, and would often have unusually vivid dreams the next few nights. I don't regret quitting at all. I enjoyed weed a lot when I was younger, but I think I just kind of outgrew it. I think I may live a little longer for having quit. Weed is a lot less harmful than many drugs, but I don't think there's much doubt that it gunks up your lungs much like cigarettes. I'm not about to say that anybody who smokes weed should quit. If you can handle it without turning into a zombie, and you think the pleasure it gives you is worth the possible negative health effects, by all means let us catch you at times with an illegal smile. |
