Gandolfini was horrible in All the Kings Men.

Surprised no one has said Rain Wilson (spelling?) from the Office. He plays Dwight and I know I can't see him as anything else, he did a guest spot on Entourage and it was just weird.
Also, Napoleon Dynamite was funny until everyone in America made it unfunny by quoting it nonstop, not unlike "I'm rick james bitch!". |

Hey, if Carroll O'Connor could shed Archie Bunker (a role he played for about a dozen years, always in the top ten), and win Emmy Awards in "In the Heat of the Night", then anybody can shake an unforgettable character, if they have enough talent to be able to stretch a little.
Obviously, someone like Jennifer Aniston lacks the talent necessary to stretch. Let Gandolfini grow a beard, or wear a hat, or wear glasses, or some combination of these things. He'll disappear into another character right before your eyes. I watched "Get Shorty" a dozen times, and never recognized him until I saw his name in the credits. |

I might have missed it but Kellsey Grammer as Fraiser Crane. He played the character for what 14 years?

I disagree Grammer and Ratzenberger. I actually think of Sideshow Bob when it comes to Kelsey Grammer. And Ratzenberger has been in all the Pixar movies, so I don't solely think of him for that role.
How about Sam Waterston as Executive ADA Jack McCoy? The fact that those brokerage commercials he is in are filmed in a Law & Order style makes it even more likely for me to think that it is Jack McCoy pitching for them instead of Waterston. |

This really isn't fair to me since I have recently discovered "The Office" and am totally consumed by it.
But my vote goes for Rainn wilson and Dwight Schrute. |
