Stoli and Skyy are probably the two worst i have ever had.

[/ QUOTE ]

you need to drink some worse vodka!

[/ QUOTE ]

ive only drank Ketel One, Grey Goose, Absolut, Finlandia (very good try it if you have the chance), Belvedere, Chopin, and Smirnoff

out of all those Stoli and Skyy have been the worst by far.

How old are you? Did you go to college?

Mr. Boston and Purple Powerade were consumed in mass quantities my sophomore year.

That's a shame. You need to spend a morning of Popov enduced puking to truly appreciate decent vodka.

What are peoples thoughts on Chopin?

[/ QUOTE ]

He was a good composer, but I think Mozart and Beethoven were better.

[/ QUOTE ]

Chopin is good stuff IMO. Easy to find which is a huge plus

There was a vodka thread here in OOT about 6 months ago.

At that time I tried a number of the recommended vodkas that I hadn't had yet ( Svedka, Fris, etc ).

Of them all, Svedka was definitely my favorite - and was also very moderately priced. I got a 1.75 on sale for around $22.

Fris was good as well, but didn't taste as smooth to me as the Svedka, plus it was around $6-7 more per bottle.

Vodkas I've had for comparison: smirnoff, absolut, skyy, belvedere, gray goose, stoli, finlandia, fris, svedka, and a few more i can't recall.)

U of I kids are apparently rich. I rarely saw anything as nice as the stuff he mentioned in college and I went to a big school (UCLA).

step one, if anyone tells you to get grey goose, don't listen to anything they ever say about vodka ever again.

those ma fuckas at grey goose did one hell of a marketing job. that's for damn sure.

can't go wrong with ketel one. i'm not a vodka snob though. i don't like drinking it straight, and when you have a mixed drink you really mask the vodka flavor.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thank you thank you thank you. Grey goose has a nice pretty bottle filled with pisswater. That Vodka sucks, how it became top shelf is beyond me.

The Vodka I drink is Ultimat. It is a little bit pricey however it is better then all of the "top shelf" Vodka's that are commonly sold in bars today.

I think Kettle one is pretty good for the money as well. Ciroc as others have mentioned is not bad either.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think Grey Goose is anywhere near as bad as they're making it out to be in this thread. Is it the best vodka on the market dollar for dollar? No, but it's certainly better than Absolut and Smirnoff.

I tend to go with Kettel One. I tend to find it's the smoothest.

Chopin and Belvedere are also commendable.
