If I dont balance my account and I overdraw it all the time then I could lose my job. Do they pay me to do this? No. Is it required for my job? Yes.

If you overdraw your personal account you will get fired? Have you been told this?

And what does this have to do with a golf pro practicing/learning the course and getting paid to do so?

Balancing a check book is not a skill that needs to be honed. It is in your best interest to keep you checkbook balanced. It is in the best interest of the golf course to have a competent and skilled pro to bring in revenue.

Jesus you can't be this dense.

dude op explained it is an ACCEPTED part of his job that he stays late and plays golf ON THE CLOCK. That analogy does not make sense. If you don't see why i won't go into it with you but think about my first statement.

OP, it sounds like you may actually have a boss who is going to stick up for you even when it doesn't suit his immediate interests... if that is the case you are fairly lucky. wait and see what he does. either way, don't take it out on him, it's not his fault.

Jesus Christ there are a staggering amounts of retards with no reading comprehension in this thread.

OP,

let your boss handle it and deal with all the stress. I wouldn't worry too much about getting this $18 back though, your boss sounds like a good guy and hopefully he'll take care of this. To me, the $18 this one time would not be worth the hassle of getting it fixed (but I am used to having to fight for months to get pay issues fixed; if it will be really simple for you then obviously get your $18).

wow, for any hours OVER 40 in a week i'd expect *double* pay, not half pay. How does overtime = half pay?

[/ QUOTE ]
As a salaried worker I'd love to get paid anything for time over 40 hours.
As OP's problem at this point is pretty striaght forward, I'm just going to assume this is a thinly veiled brag post.

Took an awful long time to get to the meat of the matter. I agree. And, I'm jealous.

you were done with your shift, and played a *free* round of golf, but are complaining because you weren't paid for it?

This was wrong. Playing is part of his job.

His GM is not the guy in charge.
