I'm not the IT guy, we don't really have one. I will definitely have the burden of setting up 50% of the computers.

Just saying I will be asked by 1/2 the employees to help them cause they know nothing about computers. But that's besides the point and has nothing to do with my OP.

Do you think he'd mind if you went in early Monday morning "to set up desk make sure we are 100% operational".
What about Friday late afternoon. Movers might be done with your work area fairly early, giving you time to handle it then. Talk to boss. Explain your plans. Work out a compromise. Slit his throat. Rent woodchipper.
