[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Worst case they let him board, since that impacts the lives of 100 other people negatively. [/ QUOTE ] It's a dog, dude. Now if it was a retarded guy drooling on his seat, that'd be different. [/ QUOTE ] I don't have to smell or listen to drool. [/ QUOTE ] Nevermind... |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Seems like the risk/reward of him in a carrier in cargo probably is a better bet than some shennigans related to bringing him on the plane and sitting with you. [/ QUOTE ] i dunno...if i try to bring her in the cabin with me, and they don't buy my story, then i'll just have to check her into cargo. so it seems to me that i have nothing to lose, and everything to gain, by trying. i'm absolutely not worried at all about my dog causing any trouble once she gets on the plane. [/ QUOTE ] I feel a strong chance you're one of those retar-STUPID dog owners I hate. An aircraft is so different from any other environment for so many reasons. What the hell kind of dog is this anyway? |

Have some of you never had experience dealing with a dog that has been well cared for and trained?
I've had dogs (labs specifically) all of my life, and not a single one of them has ever barked uncontrollably, or smelled offensive. 90% of the people I come in contact with ona a daily basis smell worse, and are more verbally offensive, than any dog I have ever owned. |

i've done quite a bit of research. the rules & regulations are quite ambiguous. i was hoping to hear from someone here as to what kind of "documentation" they brought when doing this... [/ QUOTE ] Normally there are more than enough douchebags here to help you out. I can not explain the current ethical uptick. |

[/ QUOTE ] I've seen dogs that don't bark, but "odorless dogs" do not exist. The owners who think that their super clean dogs do not smell are akin, I believe, to farmers not smelling manure after a while. They do not have to be dirty to smell like dog. I don't think they should allow dirty people on planes either. I hate people who smell bad because it's inconsiderate, though I haven't yet developed any sort of allergy to them. |

[/ QUOTE ] This will sound sarcastic, but it really isn't: you changed my mind and I totally agree with you. People need to figure out how to brush their teeth, bathe with soap, weigh an amount such that their sides don't spill over the armrest, etc. |
