I was then able to speak about a 1-5 year jail term for cutting in a ferry line was as silly as a 1-5 year jail term for recreational gaming in one's own home, something that the legislature adopted in 2006…ultimately I urged defeat of my own amendment but successfully made the point on the floor. A recent rule change by the Washington State Gambling Commission:
Petition for Rule Change from a Poker Player WAC 230-40-120 Effective 4/9/07 Poker wagering limits increased from $25 to $40. Which means that non-tribal cardrooms can now spread up to 20/40 games.

PS: Even more strange is that even though the PDF of the approved bill is available from the official Legislature site, there is no mention of it in the calendar/history of actions on the House or Senate floors.

HB 1243 does not appear on this report of bills that have been passed by the legislature and sent to the Governor.
