Kurt Cobain, sure - I was 16 and they were the backdrop to my growing up. Also John Peel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Peel

Kind of sad about the death of Ronnie Barker

but of course when someone dies of old age at the end of a full life having met their potential, it's not as sad as someone cut down in their prime or unfulfilled.
