The SN program was already pretty good. Now you're complaing that you're "only" getting $2000 more? [/ QUOTE ] It's not so much about complaining, it's about PS not motivating us to play twice as much in the next year - which they possibly could with the right incentive. I'll earn about 275k VPPs this year. Next year I would shoot for 500k or even an outside chance at 750k, if I could get say a WSOP ME package for that. But I don't know that the cash is going to be enough all by itself. As it is I may not be motivated to play much more than my usual 80 hrs/month. PS can do the math on whether it's worth it to incentivize me to play more. |

[ QUOTE ] I All that Supernovas at the 200K VPP level get now that is different to last year is a $2K bonus that you have to pay almost $1K in FPPs to get... [/ QUOTE ] The SN program was already pretty good. Now you're complaing that you're "only" getting $2000 more? What did you guys expect? Pokerstars is still a company trying to make money. Giving away $2000 to every player playing the amount you do is not something small. Its pretty much like getting a $2000 XMas bonus...if you worked a real job and got that would you really complain? [/ QUOTE ] I'm actually pretty happy with the bonuses. Yes it would be nice to get some extra FPPs for the 300k level or whatever, but my calculations earlier show that the bonuses give a pretty significant boost to VIP benefits, anywhere from +12% for 200k to +50% for 500k. There is obviously room for improvement, but I like this program TBH. It would be absolutely perfect if they had more of those reloads where you get $$ based on VIP level. |

Imo I think they should have thrown a bone to some of the players pushing for the SN elite status midway in their journey... [/ QUOTE ] Are you kidding me? This is how I look at it analytically. First, consider that each 100k VPPs is worth approximately $5600 in FPPs for Supernovas. That makes each incremental journey worth: 0-100k VPPs is worth $5600, (obviously less if you're not SN now) 100-200k is worth $6800, 200-300k is worth $7800, 300-400k is worth $8800, 400-500k is worth $9800, 500-750k is worth $20700, 750-1M is worth ~ $40000. So, assuming that it costs $20,000 in rake for each 100k VPPs (exact rate for SNG's, ?? for ring games), you are getting 49% effective rb between 400-500k. My opinion is that 49% rb is a pretty hearty bone! If anything, the hole in the program is between 500-750k, where the effective rb% drops to 41.4%. I could see a modification of moving 1 of the 3 packages to the 750k level as being an appropriate adjustment or many of the 500k level players will not have additional incentive at that point unless they know they can make it all the way to elite. For those that hit 500k in September or October, they'll know they aren't going to make it to 1M and won't have much incentive to continue without a more substantial additional reward at 750k. |

How many players does everyone think actually got to 1 million this year? Ten?

I would think that most players that play enough to get that much probably played on multiple sites before this. Just my guess though... |

[/ QUOTE ] Suzzer, this past year 275k VPPs earned you about 15.4k in FPPs. 500k would've earned you 28k. Under the new program, 500k will get you 38.8k. That seems pretty much like a WSOP ME entry to me. |

Yeah but I'm not going to buy in to the WSOP unless my BR is way up from current levels. All I'm asking for is 1/3 of the big MTT packages that the Elites get for half or 3/4 the VPPs.

Point taken bball904. But at least you agree that there might be a slight hole in the 500-750k, what I'm proposing isn't a big stretch, a 1k wcoop seat. Just something extra for these players that might not be able to reach the 1m and just come up short.
One question though: If you use all your fpps for the concierge service beyond the 1 time bonuses. Would you come well on top vs using the $1500 SN bonus? Ty |
