David,
If a casino asked you to design a brand new table game, what would it be? |

David,
Do you think there is a unique equilibrium in heads-up hold'em? What about 3 handed? If there are multiple equilibria what effect, if any, should that have on the poker literature? |

David,
Can you please explain your thoughts on betting sports, your past experiences. I have heard rumors that one point you were a major winner and betting at some points up to 5k a game. Is this true? Do you have any special handicapping technique or do you just analyze the games. Also, more specifically, do you like chicago-6 tonight. |

What are your thoughts on dice control? How many total rolls, and how many 7s would you have to see in a session to be personally convinced that the shooter could affect the odds?

I'm required through my work benefits program to have a $50k life insurance policy. I have no need for this as I am single without children and my friends, family, and favorite charity are already positioned to profit handsomely from my untimely (or timely) death by dividing my 401(k), IRA, and other investments/property. Mr. Sklansky, how much would you pay (either on 1/1/07 or 1/1/08) if I were to name you as the beneficiary of this $50k policy for the 2007 calendar year?
I'm a 31.8-year-old male. For purposes of your answer, assume that I'm in perfect health, do not engage in high risk behaviors, and live in a safe neighborhood in Houston. Also, assume that things can be arranged with no there's fear of default and accommodations are made in case I leave my job in 2007. |

[/ QUOTE ] That's why I offered it to Mr. Sklansky who would stand to lose much more than $50k in book revenue if he becomes entangled in a murder investigation. Moreover, for only $50k, it's not worth it for him to hire a professional who could make it seem to be an accident...although he may already have the necessary minions on staff for all I know... Unfortunately, I can think of a few people who might be willing to do him the favor for free... |

Assume the following:
A roulette parlor located on or near the strip with about as many roulette tables as a normal strip casino with similar limits. The roulette wheels have no zeros, only 1-36 and perfect 100% pay-out odds for every bet. Perfect randomization. Does the parlor make a gross profit (ignoring expenses) on the bets? Does it cover expenses and make a net profit? What variables could change your answer (e.g., free drinks, strip-club-priced drinks, slot machines, other table games, strippers, musical shows, TVs, preachers, jugglers, alligators, Celebrity Roulette Showdown, etc.). Would you play the game if neither you nor the house could get an edge? Would you advise against it? Red or Black? Magic Man and luvrhino: That's funny stuff. Play nice. No killing. |
