I love the UK office, but it had 12 episodes. I would not consider it an all time great.
Da Ali G show fall under the same category for me. |

Nobody mentioned Futurama yet? [/ QUOTE ] For a very good reason. Ill say Seinfeld, Curb, Arrested Dev. Chapelle isnt really a show like the others so I wont talk about it. South Park is really clever and more messgaged based but also less consistent than the first 3. Simpsons and family guy just couldnt do it for more than a few years each, but id give the nod to the simpsons in that matchup. Coming in fast is 'Its always sunny in philadelphia" episode last night was hilarious, and Danny devito is too funny. |

[/ QUOTE ] definitely. this show makes me laugh (in the traditional way, not the cringe-laughter which is great from the curb or to some degree the office and shows like that) more than any other sitcom type show. i wouldn't rank it too too highly yet because longevity has to count, but it is very very funny. |

[/ QUOTE ] Ye the Mona Lisa is like one foot by two feet and people call it a master piece what’s up with that? If a picture isn’t at least 6 by 10 it can’t make my list. Booth shows you mention ran for two series. Id say two series of tightly written funny shows beats several series where the episodes are of variable quality. |

Clearly more people need to watch Curb Your Enthusiasm, as it is the funniest show of all time. Seinfeld and South Park are right behind.

If you compared the 12 best episodes of the Simpsons, South Park, Seinfeld, etc. To The Office or Da Ali G Show most people would consider the first three to be better. It is also a lot to easier to make 12 9's than 50 8.7's. Just because the average episode of those shows might be better doesn't make the whole series better. |
