The thing about the stop n go here, is you don't care if its transparent. the idea is that he has overcards a high enough % to make the play profitable even if he knows exactly what you have. The real question is would he have been equally as sure of his read when I pushed the AQ4 flop.

that said. stop n go probably wasnt the best play to decide on preflop...although i think all 3 options are fairly close.

Yeah, I was just curious if you saw that flop and even considered altering your plans. Because that's one nasty flop for a stop and go with 88. |

nah its not, he folds AK/AQ/AJ and I have slightly more than the pot. Im ok winning the pot there and shutting out overcards and then going home when he has the OP. The problem isnt with the flop, its with the sng decision in the first place.

Meh. I should have said "it's a flop that allows your opponent to play perfect poker" which is what I meant by nasty. But I understand why you did the stop and go. Also, that's gotta be one of their minor league vets, either Bean or Phillips with an outside chance of Reese. |
