I'm bumping this thread, using the OP of the other thread that got created:

Hi everyone. Being that ppl sed Electronic tables were coming to TS, i had to see them for myself. and i will say...they are quite cool looking. 10individual montiors (one per player), and then a much larger monitor in the center, with pot, board, and everyones chip counts given position. the noises are kind of annoyying...but it happens. TS is currently just using these to run 60 & 115 STDs. (and yes, being its TS, the rake is massive (50+10, and 100+15). very cool tables, but i hate it in terms of expanding them to cash game play. i actually like them for STD usage, its perfect, and u dont waste a dealer who wud end up gettin screwed in the deal with no tips, and no time limit on the STD itself.

But i swear to God, if these expand into cash games, im not goin back. why do u go to a poker room? to hold chips, hold cards, use reads, socialize, and enjoy the environment (hopefully)...so why wud i want to go to a B&M if its the same as online poker, but with only one table ata time? amazin...so dumb

plz discuss, and give ur experiences with the tables

Just a few updates I found out last night, I happened to be playing 15/30 with one of the programmers for it and got some info on them from him. They are retail for 100-150k but to casinos they are leasing them with a year or two of tech support included. They are training someone in the to be a tech for it. Also, they are putting 1 or 2 in a place in cali a really small casino forget the name.

The tables can be set for cash games and can be set for a min amount of players yet do not have the settings for a HU tourny. If you want to play HU on them it would have to be setup as a cash game.

Do the chips scratch the screens when you shove them all in?

I've played on the lightning poker tables we have two one of them is 1/2NL 2000 max
the other was 2/4 limit
they also program them for tournaments regulary
the rake is high you are playing small pots
but i liked the feel of the tables and the speed
one bad thing is that you can see hand histories
i won a hand with AJ without showing it down it surprised me when one of the players could look at his screen and see what i had
That would definintely change the game a lot
the playeres were as bad as a normal game with cards
