this is very much what I was afraid would happen because of this VIP-club thing.
Lots of people are super excited with the start of this though. Maybe some more fish will be attracted...or maybe some of the tighter players will drop-out. But the game-selection is quite disappointing overall. It wouldn't surprise me if many of these tables were featuring 50% or more 2+2'ers. not that all 2+2'ers are the end-all-be-all of poker-superstarness. But certainly it decreases the chances of finding many 30+VP types. Can some of you guys just do me a favor and go away please?!?! |

Running well != Good games. [/ QUOTE ] I wonder when people will realise that "!=" does not mean "is not the same as" but is a TEST to see if the two are alike. a != b asks if a is equal to b, it is not a statment that a is actually diffrent from b. From wikipedia: "!= Inequality. Used to test the equivalence of two expressions." So stop trying to be "cool" using that type of crap... |

It is a test that returns true if they are different. Since we should agree that the OP believes that everything he says is true, then he is giving you a test with a true result. So he is saying they are different. Would you prefer he said (a != b) == 1 ? Or are you upset because == is also a test? Rot in hell, pedant. |

Stars has always had limit ring game selection problems. This is the main reason why I dont play there exclusively. I am hoping that this VIP club thing helps.
Stars tables do not calculate uncalled river bets in the final pot size while party does so the average pot sizes between the two sites should be off by some fraction of a big bet. Stars players are overall much more weak-tight than at party where I also play alot. I always have done a little better at party but you can run over alot of these weak-tight stars tables with ease. I will sometimes jump around until I get a few weak tight players lined up on my left and then pound away. I am hoping that even if the games are tougher for a while that the increased game selection will eventually attract more less experienced players. I am going to be patient. |

I didn't notice much of any difference today at stars middle limit NL cash games. Then again the sheer number of tables running at the middle and lower limits makes it difficult to not be able to find good games. This is obviously in stark contrast to 2/4 to an extent and certainly 3/6 and up.
