I'm not 100% but I think this hand qualifies since he has four nines AND AN ACE KICKER WHICH IS IN HIS HAND see you use the best 5 cards to make you final hand, all four nines and the FIFTH card is the Ace which is not on the board but in fackt in Mike Matusow's hand.

But let's say, hypothetically, this hand was played on a Partypoker Bad Beat Jackpot table, where the qualifying hand is quad 8s losing. This leads me to two discrete questions:

1) In this hypothetical situation, wouldn't Matusow need to use two cards from his hand? From the look of it, he only used the one nine to make quads!

2) Regardless of the above, I read somewhere on the internet (perhaps from my Uncle Anurag himself) that you must have a pocket pair to win the Party Poker bad beat jackpot. If this is true, does it really matter?

Please clarify this, post-haste.
