Laughing all the way to the ATM. I have to say, I'm impressed. He's pulled off a huge scam and with the current political climate he can always argue that online gambling transactions are illegal so he had to close down and you're all out of luck. Good job.

I would imagine he is sitting on a beach somewhere in the Bahamas.

Yeah I hoped I might get paid but wasn't counting on it.
Wonder...has anyone emailed SIA to inform them of this
doubt they give a [censored] but wonder what they would say if 10-20 people emailed them withdrawing all their funds and telling them they'll no longer play on the site.

I understand your point and would be tempted to do so also.
but it's not like SIA is any different from any other site in this regard for the most part.
Party and almost every other site out there have some scumbag affiliates.

I don't begrudge SIA in this situation at all (unless I learn something more concrete that I actually should find fault with them).

I've also been informed that sportsbetting affiliates will not continue to make money from me if I continue to give them business.
I'm finding some worthwhile lines on SIA so I'll continue to make some bets there.

Much of the bonus requirement I was able to clear via a very small middle I found between them and another site so I never risked anything to clear the bonus-requirement.

For those who used it as part of their 'insurance' for the Mansion free Steelers bet awhile ago though I definitely understand being pretty ticked.

Also agree with dlk9 that we should give him a few days to respond.
Likely wishful thinking I admit as it seems pretty obvious he's outta here. But anything's possible.

I agree with giving him a few days. I'm not one to jump to conclusions, but I will still hold SIA accountable to an extent. They contracted with someone who used their name to scam me. I didn't sign up for the Mansion deal (no hedges for me) so I was more focused on finding a good sportsbook that I can trust. SIA lost some of my trust by contracting with CCU (assuming the worst). There are tons of sportsbooks out there so I likely just won't use SIA unless it's necessary for some sort of arb. I guess it would just be principle for me. But I'm hoping he proves us all wrong.

I will never use SIA again and will make sure they understand why. If they are going to pay affiliates to bring in customers, I will hold them responsible for not letting any scumbag become an affiliate.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. YOU voluntarily signed up with a guy who supposedly promised you money in an agreement between you and him. This has nothing to do with SIA. Let me guess, SIA should of contacted the U.S. government or should hire a P.I. to do a thorough background check on every Tom Dick and Harry who ever applied to become an affiliate?

If you signed up for an underhanded rakeback deal with someone at Party and they ran off and never paid you, you would quit playing on Party? It's well documented all these scenarios are use at your own risk, yet you are the only one who chooses to put the blame on the site.

This is hysterical.

Are you honestly saying that their affiliates are absolutely no reflection on them? The point is that SIA can do whatever it wants, but when it contracts with scam artists, I can hold it against them since there are a ton of sportsbooks out there and many are better than SIA.

That's fine that you think it's hysterical, but this is the way it works in the legal world. If you contract with someone to do work with you, you can be held responsible partially for their actions, both legally and in the public's eye. I don't really care about the $250, but that's what got me in the door at SIA. That's the reason why I placed wagers there well after I met the requirements for the stupid CCU deal, rather than sites I like better such as Pinnacle, Mansion and Bodog. As a customer, I'll spend my money in ways which give me the most value. You're getting awful defensive of SIA though.
