I hope N.D. fans don't think that MSU's 4th quarter choke/turnover fest in the final 6 minutes of the game.

It doesn't show you have heart, it doesn't show you have class, it doesn't show you have talent.

It shows MSU decided they felt like blowing the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, this posts shows that you certainly have class.

The reciever totally gave up on that play, if he would have done ANYTHING besides be totally passive and lay there while the guy picked it off his back, game on....

OMG, do you know what I just realized?!?! The ND player that grabbed the facemask in that sideline scuffle is the guy from MTV's Real Life show about body image!!!

The Irish have more class than I would have had, because I sure as hell would of planted a ND flag at the 50.

I changed to the NC St.-BC game and what a finish it was, good god.

Since everybody either hates ND or sucks, can we talk about this game instead?

I was pretty disgusted to see BC driving for the easy backdoor cover (BC -6.5) with about a minute left. Talk about dejection turning to ecstasy when they decided, while in FG range, to go for it on 4th and 2.

For those that missed it, failed to convert, NC state takes it down to midfield on the other side of the 50, then lofts up a long pass that's caught for a TD with 8 seconds left.

This is all true. But this is also State. A State fan (dunno if you are or aren't) saying "If State didn't screw up x, we would have won" is being intellectually dishonest. If State didn't screw up situations like this, they wouldn't BE State. It's in their nature to do this.

But if any Domers brag about this, I hope you brag about beating up crippled kids in wheel chairs. Because that's basically what you've done. Good job!

I neglected to mention...

I'm sure Weis will be called a genius for this game. And rightfully so. Most coaches would try to outplay Sparty outright. Not so Weis.

He has the genius to realize that to beat State, you need to spot them a big lead, then just hope they implode.

Quinn for Heisman!! Weis for President!!

Desmond Howard's post game comments made me realize 3 things.

1- as a WSU fan, I was not aware MSU is WSU-east for blowing it, that's fatnastic.

2- Desmond Howard is funny

3- Desmond Howard probably shouldn't be on a national broadcast.

I hate Notre Dame so much, that was gay.
