[ QUOTE ]
From what I've seen, Tulalip and the Muck refer to their games in terms of min/max buy-in. The max bet equals the max buy-in, effectively making it a NL game for most players.

As for the blinds, I was playing limit, but at one point I did ask a dealer. I'm pretty sure they were 5/10.

[/ QUOTE ]

At least at Tulalip, the max bet is $500 and maximum of three raises. This would be true at Muckleshoot if they offered a "no limit" game. It has to do with the state compact--Muck's and Tulalip's are similar when it comes to poker.

Tulalip has a better deal somehow, though. Any poker game with a max bet over $25 is called a "Class III" game. Muckleshoot can only have X number of Class III poker games--I think the magic number is 4. But Tulalip seems to be able to spread as many Class III games as it wants.

Then again, Muckleshoot may have negotiated a new compact--I notice they are 24x7 now, so it's possible the Class III restriction has been lifted there.

Therefore, because the fourth raise is always aces, no one can ever put you on aces.

Why not just take their monies with your superior poker skills?

Every so often I want to go to the Muck wearing my Party Poker cap, sunglasses, iPod and a cheesy t-shirt declaring "I'm all in!" or something like that, just to get a rise out of people.

Right now, for the cardroom, the magic number is 3. Specifically, tables 9, 13 and 16. If those 3 tables are taken, no more higher limits will be started. From what I've been told, to add another classIII table, they have to take a classIII table out of the pit games. This is what they did when they added table 16. Why it has to be a specific table, although I understand it, is kind of pointless to me, but what the hell.

Not sure if they will be able to add any after they expand the room. Whether they'll have a different deal and all.

The 24/7 thing also has its restrictions. 2 (or 3) nights a week, (mid week) at around 3:30 am, the games max bet is $25 for a few hours. So if you're in a 20-40 game, that game is then paired down to, at best, a 15-25. Not sure the reasoning behind this. I'm sure it's something the wonderful state gambling thinks they're doing right.

That's interesting info, thanks! And I always thought the 'big game' was back on 16 just because they were being snooty

I'm sure that was a factor.

I don't have superior skills I make my profits from pretending to go smoke and searching the floor for dropped chips. I have a special chip with fish line tied to it for tipping the drink girls. I'm in it for the free booze and the bad looks from the other players when I'm cheating the drink ladys.

I never ever ever said I was a pro and had "ups" and skillz heh. Poker pro's don't vol. to go to Iraq to get out of debt.

My only goal is to get home alive so I can go the the muckleshoot have a beer with bernie and Zpinhead and the rest of the muck gang. (and take pokerstars money) AND AND AND AND AND see if I can get a steady NL game going

On January 1, 2006, the rake limit for player-supported
jackpots (PSJ) increased from $1 to $2. The PSJ rake
is placed in a separate prize fund which will be won by
players. The Drift on Inn Casino, Shoreline, requested
the increase in a Petition for Rule Change.

What's up guys I just read that on the Gamb commish website
I was wondering if any of you knew which local casinos took a 2$ drop if any ?

almost all the minicasinos are taking 2 for the JP now. i haven't spent any time playing low limit at the tribals so i couldn't tell you about them. the 20/40s and up are non-jackpot games anyway.
