There is nothing to stop people playing 25nl or 50nl reading or participating in discussion in this proposed new small stakes forum is there?

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course not.

I can understand both sides of the argument.

For: sure it would cut down on traffic in SSNL. There are pretty major differences between NL10 and NL200.

Against: My MAJOR concern with splitting SSNL is a) the sense of community that has been built up and b) that the Micro forum wont get as thoughtful or thorough responses sa they do here. I mean, if SSNL guys are going to be dropping down to answer Micro questions... whats the point in making it a seperate forum? If you guys playing NL200 are worried about the advice you get from micro players... I dont see why you cant discern bad input from the good and by explaining your reasoning for why its bad you help yourself and the others. I think that right now the micro guys can "read up" if you will and start learning some basic concepts. I think this lets everyone get to know each other which has contributed greatly to SSNL as it is now.

cliff notes: the only good that will come of this is that SSNL has less traffic.

Micro stakes players would miss out on most of the good advice given in this forum (simply reading SSNL isn't the same as receiving advice on your hands).
I find it really hard to believe the ammount of traffic SSNL has at the momment is reducing the quality of the threads.

PS: basically I think splitting the forums is a selfish move from those of us that play 100NL or 200NL

i think microlimit forums will be cluttered. not just with alot of traffic but bad advice. as we saw in the msnl/ssnl split, alot of good players left ssnl and we really missed their advice.

I'm willing to mod micro and post sweet advice!

This sounds like an excellent idea! I currently play NL100 and have no interest at all to read NL25- posts.

this is basically my problem with it. MSNL would be better for at, as would the 100/200 forum, but I just really hope the 50NL and below won't suffer too much.

I know I'd still help out in the lower forums at the start and if we can get the other SSNL regs to do the same, we'll be OK I think

I think it's a good idea, although the people it is most likey to hurt is the NL25 & NL50 folk.
