A few rocks at $25NL 5Max, but some really stupid fish, too.

Anybody who thinks this place is a 'rock garden' is very wrong, or just hasn't played there.

I second this. Alot of players start off tight, working for the rake, but they lose a few hands and start loosening up. Grinding away for rake is long. Gambling to get lucky is quick and easy (and very rewarding should you get lucky). Even rocks tilt.

Also if you are on a table that is FOLD FOLD FOLD, then just leave. Move to another table. What happens is the full ring table becomes shorthanded and then people start loosening up (rightly so). Then you come back and the game is far looser (not everyone adjusts from Shorthanded to full ring quick enough). Also if you suffer a few badbeats Shorthanded, alot of people will start pushing hands in order to get even.

I'm pretty impressed with WPEX. If it weren't for rakeback, i'd be stuck $300. Instead i'm even. I'm happy with that.

does anyone know of a way to make it more obvious on wpex when it's your turn to act? i timed out a few times because it's so unnoticable when it's your turn to act.

He he this thread makes me think about the good ol' days of live poker in the underground clubs. Whenever you called and asked if there was any action going on, the answer would always be the same: "YES, there are plenty of players on the waiting list".
Plenty could mean anything between 0 and... plenty. Even if there was no game going on at the time, they would always tell you to come by

I agree. I play only at Wpex (30h/week) 2/4. Few rocks, many aggressive players but loose. Overall, for me, the software is ok (except for a few disconnections): I have a mac and I use parallels software to run wndows. I am very very happy to get a good rake back every week.
I really dont understand why a low limit player should play elsewhere..but human mind is very strange...

Didn't need to be an underground game. The Indian Casino and Riverboat nearest to me when I lived in Iowa did this to me all the time. Guess the games always broke up during the hour drive.

*sigh*

I tapped out at WPEX. Deposited $888 (3 deposits in total). Played 3/6, 5/10 and 10/20. Can't say I was properly rolled to play 2 games of 10/20 but I took a shot. Had I done this on Party poker, I would have earned a few Party Points (worth basically [censored]). But since I did it on WPEX, there will be a nice present waiting for me on Monday morning:

$383.13

That's 43.15% of my deposit. This is nothing to scoff at. I can't see myself wanting to play elsewhere. I even did Neteller INSTAcash and WPEX paid the fees.
