I just have my fingers crossed that the next season will truly represent the high stakes game and we can see some mixed game action. Mark my words, in 3 years O8 will have taken over (again)

Other than Gus' overpair against Lindgren's big draw, this was a pretty uneventful show, imo.

[/ QUOTE ]

How much was in the pot when Gus put Erik all-in on the turn?

I remember reading somewhere Barry saying they won't play O8 with Sammy because he's soo damn good at it.

I could be wrong, but I think it was somewhere around 23k.

What was the deal with Gabe's singing bit about Ziedman "he's my boyfriend...". AJ said it was a reference to a Leslie Gore song. I don't get it. Someone enlighten me.

What? Eli has the best hand with a weak ace? Is the card display wrong or is the announcing just wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think he meant the best hand of the remaining players after Gus bet into the big field.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is exactly what he meant, though I admit, it was confusing.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, he explicitly miscalled their hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, are you annoying. Trust me - he was referring to the fact that Eli had the best hand of what was remaining. Do you honestly think that with 5 people in the production booth and the graphics up while he's announcing that he would make that mistake? If you think yes, I can't argue with you - you're just too dumb to be argued with.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, we can honestly believe that he made this mistake (and one other during this show) because it was pretty obvious. Maybe the producers decided to let it stand as a way to make things appear more "real"? As far as re-editing goes, just look at the 2002 WSOP ME that Varkoni won and Gabe called. They still haven't re-edited that one to fix the blatant editing sequence blunders.

[/ QUOTE ]

If it was worth my time, I'd listen again and post a transcript. I know for sure he says that Elie has the better kicker. I'm about 90% positive that he also calls Eli's kicker an 8 too.

Why are you so sensitive about this? Are the producers or editors good friends of yours?

Why don't you try listening to the show for a 3rd time, smarty, and you'll see tha the mis calls it.

I have no interest in seeing more attention payed to the prop bets. I would much rather have the focus be on poker rather than people gambling on what is essentially a coin flip.

Okay, I listened to it again. I stand corrected. What is said is this:

AJ: And he raises to $19k here.
GK: He's got the hand to raise with, and I don't think anybody can call him. Eli's got the best hand with a weak ace.. Eli might put Gus on a draw. A flush draw. Which he has. But he also has a pair of aces. And a better kicker. I don't think Eli's going to want to get involved here, but I could be wrong. (Eli: either you have A6 of spades, or 86 of spades). Very close! A8 of spades.

So, even though you were too sensitive, I appologize and stand corrected.

Leslie Gore dated Ziedman in 1977 - they would have gotten married too, if Ziedman wasn't drafted by the Somalian government to fight in the Ogaden War. Before he went off to war, however, Ziedman impregnated the great Ms. Gore, and in late 1978, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy which she named Antonio Esfandiari.

You definitely have me confused with another poster. I see you corrected your error when you responded to him below. My post pointed out that Gabe miscalled 2 hands in that show which was pretty unusual. Thanks for going back and finding the first one (I do not have the time or patience to do that).
