[ QUOTE ]
One thing I don't like is the real cash on the table. That's obviously just done to please the TV producers and make it look 'exciting'. [/ QUOTE ] This is extremely common practice in no-cap NL games |

Yes there are too many commercials and yes somebody in the production seems to want to overemphasize how much money is in each pot.
But, we have been giving the opportunity to see the best players in the world, playing real poker. I’ve been hearing about these games for twenty years and am fascinated by everything. The table conversation is great and I love the subtle and not so subtle moves they make. Kaplan's analysis is right on and his jokes are funny to me. |

Jennifer Harlan [/ QUOTE ] This is the fifth different way I've seen this last name spelled. In any case, having paper cash out on the table isn't too uncommon for higher-limit games. I'm sure that GSN probably encouraged players to do it, but they likely would have done it otherwise. |

Kaplan's analysis is right on [/ QUOTE ] in the hand where jen flopped As and 4s. the pot was 19K on the turn. and ted had a flush draw. Gabe said she should bet 22K so that he is wrong to call. she bets 11 or 12K (i can't remember how much) and gabe says "now ted is correct to call for the flush". isn't that just wrong? paying 11K for a 30K pot is not correct for a flush draw. |

[/ QUOTE ] Are you suggesting that Jennifer is getting away from aces and fours if a heart comes on the river? I think she might bet out(15-20k). The question is, can she get away from it when TF raises? My opinion, probably. |

If they put out a High Stakes Poker DVD condensing the 13 episodes into the (probably) 3 hours of poker action, with no black where the commericials would be, I'd be down.
Four breaks in the first half hour and I lost track of and subtle genius in their play. |

Awesome stuff! DN gets stuck for 3/4 million... I can't wait to see the heavy action. Might give some insight on how to attack the deep money with a shortbuy in NL cash games with no maximum buyin.
