Clint Eastwood telling a bunch of toughs in I think it was For a Fistful of Dollars, who had laughed at him coming into town riding a donkey, "I want you to apologize to my ass."

[/ QUOTE ]

"That ain't nice, you laughin'. See, my mule, he don't like laughin'. Gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Of course, if you apologize, like I know you're going to..."

Chow Yun Fat is supercool, as well.

A character I haven't seen mentioned is Tom from Miller's Crossing, who I always thought was cool even though he's a punching bag in every fight he's in.

And Undercover Brother.

Was of course tempted to post a picture of JA JA Binks, but will put in this perhaps not the coolest but worthy of an hounarable mention.

deniro in heat was pretty damn cool, even though pride got the best of him in the end.

[/ QUOTE ]

James Caan was cooler in Thief (another Michael Mann film). "My money in 24 hours, or you will wear your ass for a hat."

[/ QUOTE ]

Very cool, but not cooler. He was more human and vulnerable than cool for a lot of it, which is its own kinda cool, but he made sooo many mistakes in that movie.

Course, there are a lot of similarities between the two. Same director, themes, and similar style, and all.
