I think 2500 is a fair price for you to ask. Consider it a blessing because you would have a [censored] [censored] time in Vegas under 21.

Nevada state law forbids hotels with casinos to let people under 21 years old to put rooms in their names. If you're not 21, and/or not traveling with someone 21+, you can't get a room in a hotel that has a casino on site.

Look at it from their point of view too, they can't really send you to Vegas if it's not legal there. In my opinion the best solution would be to ask for cash value of the prize (flights & accom) at least, then you can go if you want to, minus the tourny unfortunately.

This would be a good compromise I think.

They won't tell me the full cash value. Nor will they give me anywhere close to it at the moment. They're somehow making it my fault rather than owning up to their own negligence.

Forget about the trip for the reasons previously stated. Pull up expedia and calculate the cost of RT air tix and hotel in Vegas for the week. Request the site pay you those funds in lieu of the trip. They may counteroffer something higher than the $1K they've already offered. If it is reasonable, take it. Unless you have a good fake ID I can't imagine why you'd want the trip anyway. It is extremely boring for sub 21ers. If you really need a vacation use the cash to go to Florida or the Carribean instead. Vegas will still be there 3 years from now when you can do the town properly.
