I'm confused as to why it matters that the roommate is Asian....and particularly how this related to the roommate not having the badge-number.

Are Asians somehow less able of taking note of a badge number?

[/ QUOTE ]

Duh, Asians suck at numbers and math and stuff like that. Everybody knows that.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's why they're all LAGs.

yes.

And I really wish you would stop jerking-off at my place.

[/ QUOTE ]

no.

and the story is true. i don't see what is so untrue about 2 cops breaking down the door to my apartment because they were looking for someone who lived there who they were seeking to arrest ( wether that is legal or not i'm not really sure ) and then making ridiculous claims to try and get my room mate ( who is asian ) to confess to things other than why they were initially there.

Because I dont get why the cops were there if...

a) The charges were dropped the next day

and

b) Why would they consider you an internet poker fraud in the first place, how did they even know you played poker online? A warrant for your roommates arrest for domestic violence does not include questioning you on your internet usage.

[/ QUOTE ]

This story is completely believable. Everyone touting that it is made up is obviously some suburbanite upper middle class white boy who has his mommy tear off the crusts of their PB&J sandwiches for them. Cops are DIC.KS! Domestic Violence charges are dropped all the time because girls are stupid.

you said it. he was fighting with her and wouldn't let her leave for like 20 minutes ( i don't think there was any physical contact really ) and when she told some cop he tried to make it out to be a kidnapping charge. by the time he got arrested she allready didn't want them to arrest him but that's not going to stop them from arresting him ( which they did ).

The charges are dropped because the crown does not have enough evidence to proceed. The police are not the one who drop charges, the crown is the one who drops charges.

The police must lay charges in a domestic violence dispute even if the victim does not want them to.

The police decide to lay a charge or not, once the charge is laid the police do not drop them.

Disclaimer : I live in Canada so it may be different and I don't know the law, my fiance is the one to ask but shes at work right now laying charges on people who beat up their girlfriends.

Reading what you psoted this story is completely unbelivable, (the part where the cop was yelling about poker as they do not do not need to yell, and how the hell does he know that the dual monitors were for poker?

[ QUOTE ]
and so these cops came to my house while i was not there

new york city. i don't even know how the cops got in the first door downstairs prior to kicking in our apartment's main door.

[/ QUOTE ]

cops busted down a door to take a guy off the streets who is accused of domestic violence? I doubt it, Thats not the kind of crime that warrants a door breech especially when the reason for doing so is soem Joe Schmoe girlfriend coming off the streets and filing a complaint

1) you said "crown"

2) you're from canada

3) you're right, you don't know the law.

4) this exchange occured

"what the hell are all these monitors for"

"they both play poker online"

::cop makes stupid inference::

::stupid internet kids make stupid generalizations::
