Or just fold the second-best starting hand to that final raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

Tough call, I certainly can't say I'd get away from it for sure. But what else do you think he has when he re-raises you twice pre-flop? Seems pretty well defined.

I read somewhere on here that a 2+2er claimed to have folded KK faceup on the first hand yesterday, and the guy showed AA. I guess it is possible to get away from.

That's a crappy situation. With no reads, what the heck are you supposed to do? Call when Lawlor raises to 3000 and then fumble around when you (and probably your opponent) miss the JT2 flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

It is a tough spot, absolutely. I call the additional 1500 and seek clarity on the flop. That flop offers none, and I probably lose all my chips after the flop. Still, I don't think I push on the KK for the fifth bet preflop.

I'm 99% sure that I would fold to the final reraise knowing that I was up against AA, but I'm sure it would be on my mind all day especially if I busted out early.

edit: especially if further observation lead me to believe that the opponent it question is a bad player ala the misread 'straight flush' that was talked about in the 1A sweat thread.

Worst play ever. I'd likely either fold to the 3k, or call (getting 3:1) and hope for a Q or a K, either of which I'd push allin for and expect him to fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

You would push all-in on a king-high flop expecting your opponent to fold?

Nowhere close to the worst play ever in this tournament. Last year, I saw a guy open-fold his big blind four times in the first two levels.

If he were a good player, I'd expect him to fold. If he were a mediocre on-line qualifyer or some hollywood dipstick I may expect a call.

It helps when you make a final table, I know Nath (and surely other online players) got included in chip counts after they make a final table.
