Myrtle,

You're right I guess - political discussion isn't something that can be edited to "LOL" or other short responses. But man some of you must get X-mas cards from OfficeMax, given the number of keyboards you probably exhaust on an annual basis.

But mostly I keep bumping this in hopes that RL will show up and disprove me by writing a two-line response.

Uhh... here I am. I must admit, you made an interesting comment about me earlier in the thread. I am a very quiet person at first, but I do love to talk. Two lines, no more.

awwww.....c'mon brother.

Take a chance.....Indulge yourself.

Try four lines.....see if you like it.

Myrtle,

I have in the past debated a lot in the SMP forum defending my own conservative christian views, and arguing against the views of others. A lot of religion and culture is of course subjective and not 100% provable. But that doesn't mean that the premises upon which various religions or cultures are based aren't much more far-fetched than those of others, and discussing same is valid. All opposing such beliefs aren't equally likely to be true.

....with all respect.

What are you talking about?

I asked very specific questions.

Can you not answer them directly?

2%. I thought it would be less. Considering that there are about 40 forums on this site. The average forum should be 2.5%

I am glad though that there is such a variety of forums here. Makes the site interesting.

....you know, Dynasty,

It is exactly this kind of post that encourages the further polarization surrounding this issue.

Is it too much to ask you to be constructively pro-active without resorting to ad hominem attacks?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think [censored] needs to start banning people for calling things ad hominem when they're not. It's getting incredibly annoying.

What's the point of this thread again? This discussion seems to be going nowhere.

Oh gee.....

Calling for a ban, are we?

Appeal to authority when one cannot bring forward any kind of logical counterpoint?

Pray tell me, where did I err in calling Dynasty's personal attack 'ad hominem'.

Go home, sonny boy. In a battle of wits, you are unarmed.

Elevens, getting Red Lion to post more than one line of text was not an insignificant development, you have to admit.

The most constructive thing I can do as it pertains to Cyrus is to tell him the truth. His anti-semetic postings aren't going to be allowed anymore. If he shows his true colors again, I expect it to be the last time we see him on the forums.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dynasty,

I take back anything negative I might have ever said regarding your moderation.
