how much more rake are they taking compared from a regular table?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's like 30% more.

[/ QUOTE ]

On my 5/10 6max table they are taking 0.50 from each raked hand. 0.35 for the bad beat jackpot and .15 for the Monster.

They are converting more and more tables to the Monster promotion. What tables do you think the fish are going to play? The tables in black text or the ones with the nice shiny blue text.

They just closed one of my regular tables (3rd time this hour) so they can switch it to a Monster table.

Are you sure there is no "administration fee"? For the BBJ-tables that was 10% of those 0.5$ and basically the extra rake that they are trying to hide.

Party poker is scum.

Is PartyPoker.com charging me more for playing at the Monster Bad Beat Jackpot tables?
Not at all. In fact, PartyPoker.com is not even charging the usual 10% administrative fee on any Monster Bad Beat Jackpot. These means that the two prize pools you’re playing for (the Bad Beat Jackpot and Monster prize pools) are even bigger than before.

this is because they're comparing it to normal jackpot tables.

I estimate this costs us $750 per 10,000 hands we are dealt.
we win about 15% of hands dealt to us times 50 cents per hand.

Yeah but doesn't that mean we're being charged what they used to charge at BBJ tables, which is more then normal rake.

[/ QUOTE ]

True, all the Monsterrrrrr-tables are BBJ-tables.

And 30% of the 0.50 extra rake goes into the prizepool for some donkament.

Ok that there is no 10% fee is good. This means we are getting the 0.5$/hand back in the long run if we are getting our share of the jackpot and wins our share of the free tournaments. But because of the fact that we have to win the jackpot now and then the long run becomes 1 billion hands or so before it evens out. And you have to be average or above average and participate in the freerolls for you to get your share back.

The second I saw it I thought: "Every fish and his brother will be at these tables." Really, for people who harass me by phone 3 times over an address change, a stroke of marketing genius.

I haven't done it myself but I guess you could remove the image in the image folder and restart party poker.

And this will be the same for people playing $2000 or $100, right?

Doesn't work. Already tried. Software won't let you open any table for the reason that files are missing. Maybe i did something wrong. Others might figure out if it is possible.
