[ QUOTE ]
El D I think you forgot Mark Seif, he won 2 bracelets last year like in a week. Also, you should consider Men the Master, he has won like 3452 $100 Crazy Pinapple tournaments in LA. [/ QUOTE ] Seif's results don't really matters ince the fields were smaller last year and the games were easier. Anybody could have won 2 bracelets last year if they just got a bit lucky. |

sirio,
Mark Seif has played lots and lots of tournaments and was bound to get lucky sooner or later. Hell, even you might win something at some point if you play enough. That would not put either of you guys in legend status with the kinds of guys I list. I had a tough time with two players, Men the Master and Scotty Nguyen. Both were on the borderline, but in the end I don't think either of them quite make it from "great tournament player" to "one of the best of all-time." With a good performance this year, either of those players can make the jump to true legend status. I do give my thanks to you for being another WSOP and WPT experienced tourney player giving your feedback. |

john gale would've won far fewer WSOP bracelets if he wasn't allowed to hug his opponents

El D,
I have some facts which should help end the debate. At the WSOP this year I played with Helmuth, who told me he was the greatest tournament player of all time. I also was at the table with Men the Master who agreed that Phil thought he was the greatest tournament player of all time. Finally, Yeti played with Madsen who at no time told Yeti he was the greatest tournament player of all time. Boom. |

I would like you to consider Joe Sebock too, since he seems to cash a lot and I'm always moved when he calls Barry G. "Bear".

This is pretty easy, Hellmuth has been eligible to play at the world series of poker for over twenty years, but only has nine braclets. That is less than one every two years.
Madsen has only been eligible for one year but has two bracelets(so far). That is two bracelets a year. If the math is confusing I'll break it down for you, Phil would need to win 31 events this year just to be almost even with Madsen. |

Although I get your point, I chose to vote for Bill Chen because I've been performing massive amounts of fellatio on him in the past two weeks. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

If you look at all facets of significant tournaments for this decade, I think the list for the modern era (which is really the only time you can measure) would go something like this:
John Juanda Phil Ivey Chris Ferguson Daniel Negreanu Phil Hellmuth Allen Cunningham Erik Seidel |

I'm suprised at the lack of love for John Gale. ths guy is clearly the best tournament player. He is an animal.
