I'm still with you all the way dude. I suggest when you finish with the actual trip report, you just start making ish up and continue with this thread .

Nice work on the tourney, very sweet.

If the board was A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] then I think you know the answer to your questions.

Hey Gtr, you think this is a clear fold? As I mentioned I've struggled w/ whether or not I butchered this hand or not so I'm wondering if anyone is oppossed to the way I played it.

I think it's tough, especially when: a.) the turn blanks; b.) Villain showed the propensity to bet draws; c.) we have a decent amount of money invested; d.) we hold top set and e.) there are outs just in case.

on the flop? no, but after that things should've slowed down in the hand and I think you decide on the turn or river if you fold or not based on the info you gather, ur odds etc. Top set on this board is not a hand I want to end up getting stacked on I guess is my point - I'm not not losing some money on the hand tho - maybe all of it and your read was your read, I wouldn't beat myself up about it.

OK, thank you very much. I thought about slowing down on the turn but I really didn't want to give him a free card. It was a tough hand, especially for a cash game.

If you aren't going broke there, you're playing too passively on 4th and 5th streets, imo. I play the hand pretty much exactly like kev did. This guy already called down w/ a nut flush draw a few hands ago, so how do you not bet the turn? He could probably have an ace, 2 pair, a heart, a smaller set. I think betting the turn for close to pot size is standard and once he pushes, kev already has half his stack in. The times that he isn't ahead, he has 10 outs... I just don't see how you can slow down at any point.

Kev, if you really want some opinions on the hand, you could always post it in MSNL too.

Hell yeah we're with you still. These are great. I haven't chimed in yet 'cuz everyone else loves them too. Keep 'em coming Kev. I'm a small-balla with a wife that visits Vegas occasionally, so I'm living this one with you.

ok, not really a balla, just some dude with a wife. There, FMP.

Congrats on the win. Glad to see STTF's aggro heads up style worked to perfection.

I love a great bartender! He recommends we go next door to visit his girlfriend who bartends at Bradley Ogden's for their steak burger. He then tells us the drinks are on him ($0 / $15)

I thought this was going to turn into some kind of swingers trip report.
