Default Re: When was your first deposit?

I'm not going to reinstall Planet Poker to try to find out. It was certainly a year starting with a 1. Mike Caro wasn't there yet. I do remember that they used to send me hand-signed checks that came from banks in different countries. I used to play Stud Hi-Lo split at 5-10 and 8-16 (and rarely 15-30) with people who knew what they were doing. Could make more money multi-tabling $5.50 Stars Turbos now. I tried Paradise relatively early on and quit because the SNGs would freeze up on me and support didn't do anything about it.

I'll second Poker.com. Mine was for whatever the sign-up bonus was in 2002 (I think $50 for $50). Then there was that whole "our website got stolen fiasco" and I ran away. Later they gave me some "no strings attached" free money somewhere around $50 if I remember correctly and I tried thier new awkward futuristic looking software on a new website. Then I think they joined some bigger poker network...not sure where they are now. I would be interested in hearing the sites history if anyone knows it.

Never. Placed in a freeroll at America's Card Room in the fall of 2003. Transferred appx $200 to Party in November 2003 and never looked back.

Aug 2004, $50 via money order because I didn't trust them. Was supposed to be Jume 2004, but I misaddressed the damn thing. Spent weeks arguing with Party about thus, until the MO showed up again marked "No Such Address." Lucky for me, this gave me ime to learn the game. Haven't added to rhe BR since.

If some of you were so good that you were able to get your initial buy-in playing freerolls you cost yourselves some good mony by spending so much time playing those and the micros when you could have made serious bank playing hgher stakes during that time with a deposit.
