Corp Mikes style is fun to watch - I have now been a regular player at 4 different casinos and there were 1 or 2 players that played every hand super aggressive like he does, all of them being successful players (i am not talking about crazy LAGs that show up one day) - just players that played 40+ hours a week for at least 4 weeks around me - its an interesting syle that few can pull off

Wow, Al seems like a f'kin prick at this table. Just my observation. Did someone jerk him off yet?

It's one of the major differences between dealing poker in Calif. and dealing in a lot of other places, including Vegas.

I'm not sure I've heard of any East Coast casino doing that either.... (and hearing Tuch read my previous post, I have to cool it with the run-on sentences -- that poor guy is going to need an oxygen tank after reading all that)

I only play in one local casino (a Harrah's - the only local casino since I live in the middle of nowhere), and they have a very small cardroom (5 tables). They usually have a 4/8 limit game going and one or two 2/5-blind NL games ($1k max buy-in I believe, 1 main table and 1 feeder table). Anyways, they have no rake at all for cash games, and they have a progressive bad beat jackpot as well (no rake for that, either). Is this normal for small casinos?

Edit: I just realized that I use parentheses like nobody's business.

No this is not normal.

The casino has to be making money somehow off of poker, they are just hosting games for free.

BTW which Harrah's is this?
