thoughts on if/why you call fold. ill post my own thoughts later.

villian is pokeravis 18.5/7.4/4.50 54 hand sample size

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $64.45
BB: $55.35
Hero (UTG): $83.65
MP: $61.75
CO: $50.00
BTN: $68.55

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
Hero raises to $2.00, 3 folds, SB calls $1.75, BB folds

Flop: ($4.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $3.50, Hero calls $3.50

Turn: ($11.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $8.50, Hero calls $8.50

River: ($28.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets all-in for $50.45, [i]Hero ?

villian probably views me as laggy because im overlimping and playing a lot of pots with all the retards at the table.

raise flop, as played snapcall river

[/ QUOTE ]

This looks like a clear fold to me with villains tight stats, his set just turned into a full house on the river. I think the reason for the overbet is because he is fairly sure you have a queen and he wants your stack and thinks you will call. I think that he doesn't bet this big with KQ on the river and he may well fold this preflop anyway. So that only leaves 55 33 or TT.

Firstly you should definitely have made a big raise on the flop because this is a very drawy board.

And if you ignore the bad flop play, I wonder if you should raise turn here, because if villain has 1 heart he is getting to see a cheap river. And there is a good chance that if you check river he will bluff at the flush anyway, so a shove on the turn after button goes all-in may well be the best play.

and you need to play FR, btw. SH is possible, but it's hard to beat the rake and the frequent blinds.

A good winrate for a short stacker on 100NL and above is like 1 PTBB/100.
And i wouldn't do it below 100NL. From 100NL people will stop short stacking so the deep stacks aren't that used to tight short stacks while they are pretty common on lower limits as you know.

I'd rather setmine than shortstack
That said, I gave some PM advice to a player in need about setmining (no names in THIS thread) and a few weeks ago he PMed me:

Meh while I'm typing... I think it's important to get a player winning before he tackles the more complicated stuff or tries to change his game or conform or whatever. I hate seeing people rag on a guy's preflop stats at micro stakes over his first 3 whole thousand hands.
Once you can really beat a level you're a poker player imo. Whatever level it is. However you play it. You can learn, study, take shots and learn to play better, and you can go back to get more cash when you need it. You can relax a bit.

I reached 2k and still too scared to take shots at 100NL. I started playing 25NL with 250$ roll , i played 50NL with a 600$ roll, but somehow im too scared to play 100NL with the full 20 buyins.
