when the tards at stars donk the flop, it's usually a marginal hand (small pp, 2nd pair, TPW/GK, or a draw; sometimes a set, but flop is not drawy, so leading out with a set is kinda dumb).
small PP or 2nd pair: he's not pushing the river. TPW/GK: he's pushing the river (I can see him having QT). draw: straight draws on flop would be A2/A4, 46, 67. I don't think a tightie calls an utg raise with those from the blinds. Sets: pushes river. I can see him leading flop with TT and getting there on turn. So, I guess you're hoping he has KQ/QJ (i don't think a slowplayed AA/KK pf pushes river; possible though) combination stuff: - ways you are head: 4 ways KQ + 4 ways QJ + let's give 4 ways for straight draws (i weight really low because of his tightness even though 54 hands is nothing really). so, about 12 ways you're ahead ways you are behind: 3 ways QT, 3 ways TT, and let's weight the other sets low since he probably doesn't donk flop with them much, so say 3 ways set of 55/33 = 9 ways behind and then maybe some bayesian stuff in there, like he value bets smaller rather than push river with a better hand. so, i think you're looking good here. |

On the turn, I'd minraise. Anyone with a PP or 6 or even unpaired cards hoping to river a boat is calling the minraise. This way, easier to shove on the river (which is your goal). You want to zeebo everyone hard on the river. [/ QUOTE ] i wanted an overcall from UTG on the turn and id rather valuebet that river rather than zeebo this guy with the undercard. if it was all cards higher than a 9 out on the board then id rather zeebo it and get called by the full. i didnt think id be getting enough value in this spot to zeebo here in this specific spot vs this guy. [/ QUOTE ] he called a raise and reraise on the flop. when the third 9 hits on the turn he's likely dumping his straight/flush draw to the $5 bet because SB's bet into two people shows alot of strength on that turn. so either he's calling or not - your bet size (unless it's really big) is not going to affect whether he calls or not. so if he's calling $5, he's calling $10. |

PT question, what is the benefit to changing your PT database to postgresSQL? [/ QUOTE ] I think it is supposed to make it less resource intensive and there is no max to the # of hands that a database can hold. |
