biggest concerns for me with the sox right now:
lowell and youks possibly fading again in the 2nd half middle relief sucks really starting to wonder if crisp will ever turn it around need to get rid of tavarez without pissing off manny things i like: starters are awesome. papelbon/jeemer are awesome. offense is seeing a ton of pitches, getting into bullpens etc

Another upside would be if Tavarez is in the pen he can't bother Dice K so much [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Wow awesome baserunning by Crisp in the first inning results huge. Crisp singles, Ortiz is up with one out. Ortiz hits a very standard 4-6-3 double play ball but Crisp executes a sweet dive to stay under Polanco's tag and reach second base safely. After popping up, no one is covering third because of the overshift on Ortiz and he quickly scoots over before anyone remembers to cover the bag. Inning stays alive as Manny drives in Crisp and an extra 12 pitches and 2 hits are recorded.

I don't get it.. how'd he slide under a tag on a force out? [/ QUOTE ] Because instead of going to the shortstop, Polanco decided it would be easier to tag Crisp. He was wrong. (The tag probably helps you turn the double play on faster guys, but it's not necessary with Ortiz.)
